The Texas Tech University Wind Energy Bachelor of Science degree program is the only one of its kind in the nation. Rapid growth in the wind energy industry has produced an increase in demand for a well-educated workforce. Texas Tech University, already a pioneer in wind energy education, developed the Bachelor of Science in Wind Energy to meet these expanding needs and educate the future leaders of the wind energy field.

 

Wind energy career training has become increasingly popular, with more than 85,000 wind-energy related jobs currently in place in the United States and more than 300,000 expected within 20 years. Our wind energy degree program incorporates the industry’s feedback regarding the required knowledge and skills. We offer the first full wind energy curriculum in the country that offers a unique combination of courses and programs that are focused on multiple segments of the renewable energy industry.

 

The Bachelor of Science in Wind Energy curriculum is developed for face-to-face and online delivery, and provides students across the country with access to wind energy education and an in-depth understanding of renewable energy.
